Add Work Assignment

Explanation

This activity is used to add additional work assignments. This can be used, for example if the planned work is Incomplete and there is more work that is required to complete the work task.

The tab Allocate on demand in Assign Work dialog can be used to create work assignment for resource activities created through the resource demands. The Direct Allocations tab facilitates creation of the work assignments directly on the task.

Prerequisites

Before adding an additional work assignment, the following must have been completed:

• A work task must exist.

System Effects

• A new work assignment in status Assigned is created.
• A journal entry is created for this event. Journal entries are generated in the Journal submenu found in the Prepare Work Order page.
