This activity is used to create compatible unit templates. These templates can be combined to build compatible unit template structures, which could later be subjected or used to configure different combination of compatible unit structures and revisions. Configuration Family ID, which is mandatory for defining and evaluating configuration rules can be included when creating a compatible unit template. A compatible unit template automatically sets into Planned status upon creation. It is then proceed to Released or Cancelled. Releasing a compatible unit template automatically sets the status of the connected execution items to Released status. Released compatible unit templates can be re-planned. Once a compatible unit template is re-planned, existing configurations in Configured status is not possible to evaluate until the compatible unit template structure is released again.
A Standard must exist.
