This activity is used to make manual changes to part groups. Manual changes include:
All part groups created in Allowable Configuration
are by default set as LRU’s and can be changed to SRU’s. Part groups on
the root configuration slot of an aircraft assembly such as an aircraft
cannot be an LRU.
Note: KIT part groups cannot be designed as
SRU’s
Maintenix supports the following sensitive system types:
To assign sensitivities to an assembly, the affected sensitivities must be assigned to the respective assembly in Maintenix, prior to exporting configuration data.
The sensitivities assigned to an assembly can be further assigned to, or unassigned from the assemblies’ respective systems or subsystems.
In Maintenix, all parts are compatible with other parts, and part numbers can be installed on an assembly regardless
of what tasks are completed or open on the assembly. You can identify parts which are incompatible with their scope;
Global or Assembly Position Type.
Note: A part assigned to a Part Group which belongs to an Aircraft Assembly
Class cannot have an incompatible part with an Assembly Position Type.
Maintenix allows you to change the inventory class of a part that is assigned to a part group, or the inventory class of a part group. The allowed inventory class transformations are:
Maintenix allows you to assign the manufacturer when a new part is created. In a situation where a new manufacturer is concerned, the manufacturer must be created prior.
The newly created alternate parts that have been suggested through the IPC after the change sets are processed, are displayed in the flag for alternate parts tab where the user has the capability to approve the parts individually, in multiples or in bulk.
