Create Sales Contract from Business Opportunity Line
Explanation
When one or more lines on the opportunity concerns a sales contract, you
can create a sales contract from these business opportunity lines. You can
select the line(s) on the Business Opportunity
page and click Create Sales Contract. The
Create Sales Contract
dialog appears in order to update information.
Prerequisites
- The business opportunity must have the Confirmed status.
- The customer category should either be Customer or Prospect.
System Effects
- A sales contract is created, using all available information on the
business opportunity. The status of the business opportunity is updated
to In Progress.
- A reference to the originating business opportunity will be stored on
the sales contract header and lines. Also on the business opportunity references
to the sales contract will be stored on header and lines.
- All opportunity lines on the active revision will generate new sales
contract item lines. If the opportunity line part is a sales part, the sales
contract item line will also be connected to a sales part. If the opportunity
lines belong to different sites, one sales contract for each site will be
created.
