Disconnect Repair Order From Parent Assembly Order

Explanation

A repair order may be disconnected as a result of a disposition action or it may be manually disconnected. Repair interim orders are usually disconnected from the parent assembly interim orders because they cannot be completed in time for the parent assembly orders to start. Planners may take parts reserved for other orders in order to start the parent assembly orders, and then use the disconnected repair order to replace what was taken out of inventory.Use the command Disconnect From Parent to disconnect the repair interim order manually.

Once a repair interim order has been disconnected, you may want to reschedule the supply shop orders and then update dates from supply to update the scheduled start and finish date fields on the interim orders in the order structure from the corresponding shop orders.

Prerequisites

The repair interim order cannot be in state Canceled or Closed.
