In order to create a detached spare part list, you need to create a detached part header first, as a regular inventory part with its own part number. You register a detached part header in IFS/Inventory in the same way as you register other inventory parts. Then you can connect inventory or purchased parts to the detached part header. Use Part Included in Analysis page to view if a part is included in an object spare part list, detached spare part list, serial objects, PM actions, work task templates or work order maintenance material requisition lines.
Use Consists of/Included in page to carry out different types of searches, such as a search for which parts are registered for an object, or a search for the objects in which a certain part is included. You can also connect parts to an object directly in this window. You can mark one row and view a detached spare part list, if any, in the Detached Spare Part List page. You also have a number of operations for collecting information on the part from IFS/Inventory. Also Replace Part assistant can be used to replace a part in one or several of the following lists: object spare part lists, detached spare part lists, spare part lists for PM-actions, and material lists for work task templates. You must always select at least one list for the replacement.
