Approve Fault Deferral

Explanation

This activity is used to approve a fault deferral. A fault deferral can only be activated once it has been approved. When a deferral is approved, the authorization is set and the calculation for the deferral date will take place.

Note: The User Authorized? option will be enabled if you (the logged-on user) have the authority to approve the fault deferral

Prerequisites

• A fault with enabled fault deferral information needs to exist for the serial. For more information, refer to the activity Enable Fault Deferral.
• You need to have access to the product and model of the part revision on which the fault is reported. For more information, refer to the activity Define User Authorization for Fault Deferrals.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the deferral will be approved and the maintenance event date is calculated.
