Complete Activity

Explanation

Perform this activity to set the selected project activity to the Completed status. Completing an activity means that no new work can be started, but the work you have already started can be completed. Once an activity is in the Completed status, it can be promoted to Closed status or be reopened into Released status.

To complete an activity, query for the required activity that needs to be completed and select Complete via the Status action command.

Prerequisites

• The activity should be in the Released status.

System Effects

• The activity is in the Completed status.
• No new costs, revenue or hours can be reported on the activity. Costs already confirmed can be completed, e.g. transactions related to hours reported can be transferred to Finance.
• The completed date is set to the current date.
