Estimate Future Commitment

Explanation

This activity is used to add an anticipated future commitment to a forecast line.

To add a future commitment, select the forecast line to which a future commitment should be added and click the Estimate Future Commitment action command to open the Add/ Modify Estimated Future Commitment assistant. For each future commitment, a Comment should be provided. Additionally, a Sub Contract can be connected to each future commitment.

Estimated Future Commitment value can be either positive or negative.

Prerequisites

• The EAC Workbench must be in In Progress status.
• The connected Project Forecast must be in Preliminary status.

System Effects

• Estimated Future Commitment column will be updated.
• Future Commitment, EAC and ETC values in EAC Workbench will be updated accordingly.
