Perform this activity to recalculate scheduled work, earned value and progress for projects classified as large projects. The recalculation can be done on project level or on sub project level for these projects.
This activity is only used for projects which are classified as large projects and when more current values for scheduled work, earned value and progress are needed. Due to a performance reason Large projects have these values calculated in a scheduled task and stored in a table from where the values are retrieved. All other projects will have their scheduled work, earned value and progress recalculated in real time update. If the user wants to get the real time values for large projects these can be recalculated for the project or sub project by using Recalculate Scheduled Work and EV Progress action command in Project/ Sub Project Monitoring page.
It is also possible to scheduled a task when it is needed to recalculate scheduled work and earned value for all large projects and sub projects. This can be done in Database Task Schedule page by querying for the schedule name Update Scheduled Work and EV for large Projects and Sub Projects.
