Modify Contract Details
Explanation
Use this activity to modify the Contract connected to a
Request Scope. Contract can be modified during Request initiation, dispatch,
execution or even closure.
Prerequisites
- The Service should be defined using the New Service
Assistant.
- The Reported Item (Model, Part, or Object) should be defined for the
contract:
- Object should be defined in Objects page and connected to the customer as a
Party in the Equipment Object Navigator.

Model should be defined in the Model page.

Part (Object connected) should be defined in Service Attributes for Part page.
- Contract should be defined with a Contract Line with a Price Rule,
that covers the specified Reported Item.
- Contract site and Default Sales site of the Service Organization
(which offers the selected service) should be the same.
- To modify the Contract, Request Scope must exist in status of
New/Released/Started or Completed and the Billing Customer must be
connected to the Contract.
- To modify the Contract, the relevant Request Scope must not be
considered for invoicing (cannot modify contract if at least one Active
Invoice Preview exists for the Scope).
System Effects
- Price Rule will be updated according to the new Contract.
- New Price Rule will be applied to all sales lines which are not
considered for invoicing.
