Perform this activity to view the deviations created against a shift(s) of a resource.
If changes are made to a shift or break that has been generated from the resource's base schedule, shift deviations are created to record the deviation between the base schedule and the updated shift. The changes made to the shift or break will directly be reflected in the resource's capacity.
These shift deviations can be viewed in the Shift Deviations tab of the Resource Availability page. Information regarding who and when the deviation has been created and/or modified can also be viewed in this tab.
If a shift or break has been edited, shift deviation of type "Edit" and corresponding record(s) in capacity are created.
If a new shift or break has been manually added to a shift, then shift deviations of type "New" is created as well as corresponding capacity record(s) to reflect the change of capacity.
If a shift or break has been deleted, it will create a shift deviation of type "Delete" and the corresponding record in capacity is deleted.
The table below describes each shift deviation type in more detail:
Shift Deviation Type | Description |
Edit | If the Shift Start and/or Shift End field has been updated. The same goes if a break within a shift has been edited. |
Delete | If a shift has been removed. The generated start and finish times are entered in the shift deviation record. |
New | If a new shift or break against a shift has been added; and will remain in type New even if this new shift or break has been updated afterwards. |
An existing shift or break must have been (1) edited or (2) deleted; or (3) a new shift must have been manually created against a resource to create shift deviations.
