Clock OUT for Lunch
Explanation
This activity is used by employees to clock OUT for lunch. Employees are
required to do a normal OUT clocking in order to clock OUT for lunch. If this
out clocking is within the allowed lunch OUT period, the clocking will be
registered as a Lunch type clocking.
Lunch clocking allows employees to use the flex allowances for a lunch break.
That is, if employees has clocked a lunch break which is longer than or shorter
than the lunch break allocated in the employee's day type the flex balance can
be used to compensate for the difference in time.
Note: If the Time Clock is operating in
Offline mode the clocking records you create using the
Time Clock will not be transferred to IFS/Time
and Attendance immediately. Instead the information you enter will be
buffered and when the Time Clock reverts back
online it transfers the information to the Time and Attendance.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity;
- The relevant Time Clock buttons should be
configured in the Time Clock Type Details and Time Clock Type Detail Items
pages.
- The employee is required to have an open
interval in the Interval area of the
Time Card
- Lunch OUT clocking records can only be created if you are within the
allowed lunch OUT period. If you are allowed to use lunch flex, the
allowed lunch OUT period is defined in the flex day rule linked to the
employee.
System Effects
As a result of this activity;
- The Time Card and the Employee Clockings
pages will be updated with an open clocking.
- Open intervals will be closed in the Time Card and the
Employee
Intervals pages. Also, an open interval will be created
corresponding to the absence OUT clocking.
- The Day Info column on the Time Card page
will be set to Open.
If IFS/Manufacturing is installed, the following will also be effective; As
a result of creating an OUT clocking record, all shop order operations or
indirect jobs running for the day will be automatically stopped for the
employee.
