Enter/Modify Employee Clocking Information
Explanation
This activity is used to view or modify the clocking records registered by
an employee. You can also enter new records. The Employee Clockings
pages can be used to perform this activity.
The information displayed in the Employee Clockings page is
the original transaction information. Using this activity, you can translate
and adjust this information before it is used by the system as the basis for
time intervals generated to the Time Card page
Interval area. When you modify the external transaction using this activity,
the associated clocking intervals in Time Card page
Interval area are also changed.
Note:
Clocking intervals can be modified in the Time Card
page Interval area without changing the original transaction.
However, making changes on the Employee Clockings page will cause
the Interval area to be recalculated (possibly overwriting any
manual interval changes).
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites.
System Effects
- As a result of modifying an existing clocking record, the corresponding
time intervals in Time Card page Interval
area and the Employee Intervals page will be updated.
- The Day Info area on the Time Card
page will be updated based on the generated intervals. If
the entered clocking records generates open intervals for the day, the
Day Info area will indicate as Open.
- If the status is Completed, the result will be generated
in the Time Card Results area.
- If the results generated by the clocking records are completed, it will
indicate as Completed in the Day Info area.
- Clocking has to be of out absence type, and the absence wage
code has to be set as a repeating (Absence Wage Code Parameters page set
the Repeating field to - Repeated)
Two scenarios:
If no TA association - the day will be closed and new
open absence interval will be registered on the next day. The procedure
will continue until absence ends.
If TA association - the day will be
closed and the associated absence (in the Absence page) will be registered
with the Ongoing option set as TRUE. The absence will go on until
the Ongoing option is cleared.
- If the registered clocking has Out Absence selected in the
Trans Type field, and the selected Wage Code is set as Repeating
two system effects are possible:
If
TA Association is configured, the entire day will be closed and the
absence will be registered in the Absence page with the Ongoing
option set to TRUE. The absence will keep prolonging itself by changing
its end date until the Ongoing option is cleared.
If TA Association is not configured, the day will be closed and new open
absence interval will be registered on the next day. The procedure will
continue until absence ends.
