Design work produces an array of documents, such as drawings, specifications, technical data, sketches, text documents, plans and minutes of meetings, among others. IFS/Asset Design depends upon IFS/Document Management for the registration and management of documents. Documents are created in any number of applications, registered/managed in IFS/Document Management, and related to an object or design part within IFS/Asset Design.
On a Design Object or Design Part, refer the Documents tab in Attachments to view the connected documents:
Once a document appears in the Documents tab in Attachments, you can click Detail icon to open the document record on the Document Revision page. Here you gain full access to IFS/Document Management functionality. Refer to the help documentation within IFS/Document Management for more information.
