This activity involves defining an Engineering Standard, which is the starting point of configuring the IFS/Asset Design data structures. A standard lends structuring and classification abilities to asset design information and is at the highest level of configuration. After defining the standard, one or more Plants can be defined based on it, followed by Classes, ID Models, ID Separators and Design Part Code Collections.
