This activity is used to define ID separators for a particular design object class, design part class or a set of classes. ID Separators are inserted in between the values entered for the ID Models. They are class-based and affect all objects or design parts belonging to the class. If no ID Separator is defined for a class, the value "-" is assigned by default.
The ID separators work in conjunction with ID models to make them easier to read when they appear in the design object and design part IDs. ID separators could have various characters (%, -, etc.) that divide the combined IDs (Primary 01, Primary 02 or Secondary 01, Secondary 02, etc.) as defined for an ID Model. A prefix and a suffix can also be defined for both primary and secondary IDs.
