Supply Detailed Maintenance Event Information

Explanation

This activity is used to supply detailed information for a maintenance event before the event can be completed.

In order to complete the fault event, you must report the function breakdown of the fault being repaired. The product and model reported on the fault is used for selecting the actual function breakdown. Depending on the number of function levels required (object property setting), the necessary function levels need to be entered. Observe that when signing off of a repaired fault, it is required that a cause code is entered.

A modification event can lead to a part identity change on a serial assigned to or affected by the modification. When the modification event (with execution type Terminating Action) is embodied, the assigned or affected serial is renamed automatically to the new part number and revision defined on the modification. In the Rename Serials area you can view or modify information on the serials in the structure that are to be renamed. For instance, you can modify the maintenance program, maintenance group, and manufacturer information defined on the serials listed. You can choose to update the operational log history, replacement history, as well as other history records with the new part number or serial number by enabling the relevant option. Note: Information about the maintenance program, maintenance group, and history data being updated when the serial is renamed can be viewed in the serial identification history.

In the Rename Serials area, a menu option Perform Rename exists to perform a rename of a serial. For the menu option to be enabled, the modification event must be in status Started or higher. In addition, a menu option Undo Rename exists to reverse the rename of the serial.

If there is a need to change the operational parameter values for a finished maintenance event, this can be done from the Operational Parameter tab. To change values, click the Change Operational Values command for the relevant record. The command is only enabled for maintenance events in status Finished. Enter the new values you want in the Value After Overhaul, Value After Repair and Value Total fields. Note: The new values entered here are required to be greater than or equal to the previous log value for the serials and smaller than or equal to the next log value of the serial. This command can be useful if you end up in a deadlock, not being able to perform an operational logging, and not being able to adjust the parameter values for the finished maintenance event.

Note: In order to perform Asynchronous Reporting, operational log history records and replacement history records for the serial being renamed must be updated with the new part number and revision.
