Connect Non-Active Change Order to Contract
Explanation
This activity is used to incorporate the planned changes in Change Order
into the relevant Sales Contract or Sub Contract
revision before setting the Change Order to Active. This can be done by
executing the command Connect to Contract available on the Contract
Change Order.
After connecting the Change Order to the contract
for the first time, it is possible to do modifications to the planned Change
Order scope and re-connect to the contract multiple times. In every
connection the relevant contract revision items get updated with the latest
values in the corresponding Contract Change Order items.
There is the
indication on the Contract Change Order item whether the
item is already connected to the contract, and whether any changes are made
on Change Order item since the last connection. Furthermore, it is possible
to remove an item in the contract revision which is added via a Contract
Change Order, by setting the corresponding item on Change Order as Delete
Pending and reconnecting the Change Order to the Contract.
Prerequisites
- A Contract Change Order created on a Sales
Contract or a Sub Contract.
- On that sales or sub contract, the Contract Change Order Change Capturing Level
should be set as Contract Items and Connect Non-Active Change
Order toggle should be ON.
System Effects
- New Contract Revision Lines and/or Items are added to the connected
Contract revision.
- If the Change Order is in Preliminary or
Analysis in Progress status, or the Change
Order is in Analyzed status, but no Agreed
values are entered, then the Contract revision items are added
considering the Expected values that are available at the time of Change
Order-Contract Connection. But if an Analyzed
Change Order is being connected to the contract after entering the
Agreed values, then the Contract revision items are added considering
the Agreed values.
- Change Order Contract items that are connected to the Contract are
marked as Connected to Contract - Yes.
- If any item, which was added to the contract revision through a
Change Order, is required to be deleted through the same Change Order,
then Change Order Contract Item’s Delete Status must be
set as Delete Pending. After re-connecting the Change
Order to contract, the item will be deleted from the contract revision.
The Delete Status in Change Order Contract item will
then be set as Deleted. The Change Order Contract items
labeled as Deleted are read-only and are being excluded from
Cost/Revenue summaries.
