IFS Aurena Agent is a client software which supports operations such as opening files with the associated applications, checking in view copies to documents, printing files directly to a local printer or even executing macros. Aurena Agent is mainly used in areas such as Document Management, Human Capital Management, Work Order, Shop Order and IFS Base Functionality.
Below is a list of "clients" that includes pages and assistants that use the Aurena Agent. At the end of the page, instructions can be found on how to identify the client of any given page or assistant.
Aurena Agent is used in Document Management for opening files, printing, copying a file to a location in the client machine, sending document files by email, checking in a view copy to a document and executing macros. It is used in clients such as below to support the above mentioned operations:
Aurena Agent is used in Human Capital Management for downloading and opening files in PersonnelFile client.
Aurena Agent is used in Work Order area for printing work order reports in WorkOrderReportControlAssistant client.
Aurena Agent is used in Shop Order area for printing in ShopOrderOperationDetailsDialog and CreateShopOrderReports clients.
Aurena Agent is used in IFS Base Functionality for printing reports in PrintDialog and AppearanceConfiguration clients.
Only one version of the Aurena Agent installer (MSI) will exist at any given point in time. Each new version is backwards-compatible with any IFS Aurena version including IFS Application 10.
Above, "client" does not refer to a page or assistant. The client is the container of every page or assistant. A client can contain one or more pages, assistants and all other aspects of a user interface in IFS Cloud.
Given the URL of a page or assistant, the client name is the word after "web/page/" or "web/assistant/".
