This activity is used to create a service quotation from the business opportunity. Click Create Service Quotation on the Business Opportunity page. The Create Service Quotation dialog for updating information will be displayed.
A service quotation is created, using all available information on the business opportunity header. The status of the business opportunity is updated to In Progress.
All opportunity lines on the main revision will generate new service quotations. If the opportunity lines belong to different sites, one service quotation for each site will be created. A reference to the originating opportunity will be stored on the quotation.
Note: No service quotation lines will be created, only a sales quotation header. The service quotation can then be connected to one or more orders that make up the scope that is to be quoted.
