Use this activity when you want to connect a configuration family to a part. A configuration family is a collection of configuration characteristics used by a group of parts. Note that this process cannot be changed once you have connected a configuration family to a configurable part.
When prompted to copy all family characteristics, click Yes to copy all family characteristics to the part configuration revision, or No to create a part configuration without characteristics.
Enable the Allow changes to created DOP structure option if you want it to be possible to manually add and remove components (both configurable and not configurable) and operations within the DOP structure for the configurable part,
