Use this activity when you create a new part configuration revision for a configurable part. Part configuration revisions represent a version of the configuration characteristics necessary to describe a configured part. Part configuration revisions are controlled by date.
You can create a new revision by copying an existing revision using the Copy Part Configuration Revision dialog (preferred), or by manually creating one.
As a result of this activity, a new part configuration revision in status Tentative is created for a configurable part.
