This activity is used to test configuration sales rules so the user is able to configure a product that can actually be produced.
The test of sales rules is divided into two steps:
To test a sales rule for new configuration click Test Sales Rules. If you want to apply specific order information for the sales rule configuration test enter order information in the Order Information dialog, then click OK. In the Test Configuration page that is opened enter values for testing in the Option Values column in the Characteristics section.
To test a sales rule for open orders' configurations click Test Open Orders and enter information about the test in the Test Open Orders dialog. In the Revision field specify the number of the configuration specification revision for which the sales rule should be tested on open orders. In the Include Business Objects section enable the setting for what type of open orders to include in the test. If the complete configurations connected to the orders should be included in the test, enable Complete in the Include Configuration Status section. If the incomplete configurations connected to the orders should be included in the test, enable Incomplete in the Include Configuration Status section. After clicking OK a background job will be started. On the Background Jobs page the founded incomplete configurations will be listed in the detailed information.
After test of sales rules for new configuration you will get a complete or incomplete configuration to take further action on.
After test of sales rules for open orders a background job result shows orders which will get configuration problem when the sales rules will be executed.
