This activity is used to reapply the completion of code strings for a particular site, when code strings for code parts have been modified. The system uses the code string completion information when financial transactions are created, i.e., the system can add the code string for a code part. The code string completion information is entered in Run Code String Completion or by right-clicking in the Accounts, Account, and Code Part Values. The values entered in the Run Code String Completion on the other code parts, are default when a transaction is entered on the code part.
When setting up the system events, it is possible to choose whether postings shall be just created or created and at the same time validated and completed. When postings are just created, they are in status code 1 and it might be necessary to manually complete them at a later moment. The result can be seen in the Distribution and Manufacturing Postings Analysis.
This activity is typically performed by the person in charge of rerunning the erroneous transactions, e.g. a system administrator.
The status code must be 1 i.e. Created.
The status code changes to 2 i.e. Completed.
