Connect Document
Explanation
Use this activity to connect a document to any object type, e.g., equipment object, work order, preventive
maintenance action, purchase order. The connection is done via the Attachment Panel found
in the bottom of the corresponding page.
Prerequisites
- The document class must have been entered in
Document
Management/Basic Data/Document Class page.
- The document revision must have been created in Document
Revision page.
- The object type to which the document should be connected to, must be
added to Object Connection basic data. It is
referenced by it's Logical Unit (LU) name and service
DocObjectReference^ must be added to the service list.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the document is linked to an
object.
