Use this activity to add or remove unit of measure codes from the system, edit a description, or view the list of available unit of measure codes ISO Code Usage/ Unit of Measure page. User-defined units of measure can be added in the Units of Measure page. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.
Nearly 300 of the most common units, from the international list of ISO code lists 31, 1000, and 2955, are installed with the system. Only the description can be modified and the code added or removed from the system. If the description is not translated to the current language, it will first be displayed in English, then change to the first-saved language, enclosed in two symbols (<>). All changes made to the description are saved in the language in which you are working.
To add a unit of measure code to the system, select the Used in Application option in the row containing the code you want to add. To remove it from the system, clear the option.
