Procedure

To order an IFS Business Reporter report online through IFS Cloud:

  1. Log in to IFS Cloud.
  2. Open the Order Reports dialog.
  3. Use the Report Type to filter for the IFS Business Reporter reports.
  4. Select an IFS Business Reporter report from the list.
  5. Click OK. You will be prompted to confirm whether you want to view the executed report.
  6. Click Yes. The report you selected will now open in Microsoft Excel. If IFS Cloud instance is configured to use the IFS Business Reporter Viewer, the report will open in that viewer inside IFS Cloud.
  7. The report opens in the Report Mode of IFS Business Reporter. When in Report Mode, only a few options will be available unless the user logs on to IFS Cloud. Use the User Info/Logon option in the IFS Business Reporter ribbon and then click on Re-Login to log on. Now it will be possible to use existing Report Mode options. If the user is an authorized report designer it will be possible to go to Design Mode and use all design options, including modifying the report design and creating a new revision of the report.

To Schedule an IFS Business Reporter report through IFS Cloud:

  1. Log in to IFS Cloud.
  2. Open the Create New Report Schedule page.
  3. Use Report Schedule Name to give a name to the schedule so that it can be easily recognized.
  4. Use the Report to Schedule List of Values button to search for and select the BR report to be scheduled.
  5. Fill in parameters in the Parameters tab.
  6. Use the Distribution tab if the report should be distributed to other users.
  7. Use the Settings tab to specify whether an email should be sent when the report schedule has finished. The Report Archive section can be used to specify an email address where to send the report when the execution is done. It is also possible to specify a document number in Document No if the executed report instance should be archived in Document Management.
  8. Use the Schedule tab to specify the schedule for the report execution.
  9. When done, save the schedule.
  10. When a scheduled report instance has been executed, it will be available in the Report Archive. If Business Reporter Execution Server is used, the report instance in the report archive will be a complete report, either an Excel report or a PDF, that will not require any client processing or rendering, when opened. If a document number was specified, the executed report instance will also be added as a new revision to the specified document in Document Management.

Note: Executed report instances will be available in the Report Archive until the expiration date is reached. The archive can thus be used to see the contents of old report executions. It is also possible to view the design of the report by navigating to the Design Mode after viewing the report. However if a pure non-Business Reporter report has been created in the archive, via the IFS Business Reporter Execution Server, then it is not possible to view the report design.

  1. Open the Report Archive .
  2. Select IFS Business Reporter report instance.
  3. Right-click and select Show BA Report option. The selected report will open in IFS Business Reporter Report Mode.
