A complex assembly work order must be created for the overhaul object of an MRO shop visit. The work order is used to determine the work scope of the visit. The dispatch order and receive order for the visit can be created simultaneously when creating the work order or at a later time. To create the receive or dispatch orders a coordinator must be specified when creating the orders.
The contract with the customer, the top serial of the overhaul object's structure, the MRO-enabled site etc. are required information when defining a complex assembly work order. The work order will be created with the connection type VIM.
Transactions are generated against the work order for changes made on the shop orders of the shop visit, e.g., material issued or labor time reported. These transactions serve as the basis for creating invoices for the shop visit. Transactions records are categorized according to the defined cost category.
Note: Labor transactions which are created for the operations reported in the shop floor workbench may have a different labor class in the Labor and Operations History page if the reported employee is attached to a different labor class than the one in the operation. However, in the Complex Assembly Work Order/Transaction History tab, it will show the labor class attached to the operation.
