Calculate Maintenance Levels From Baseline
Explanation
This activity is used to apply the work order part maintenance level baseline
for the entire structure of the maintenance overhaul object (work order part)
or for a subassembly within the structure.
A revision is typically selected when the work scope is first created, when
a different revision for a subassembly is required or when the off-log changes
due to different part found scenarios.
To calculate maintenance levels, click Calculate Maintenance Levels
from Baseline in the Define Work Scope page.
In the dialog that opens, enter the required revision number. Verify the results
in the tree navigator and in the Work Scope - Part/Assign Mx Level
tab. In here, the Expose All Affected Parts option indicates whether
all affected parts of assigned maintenance events (i.e., modifications and LLP
maintenance events) for a sub-assembly are included in the specific maintenance
level. This information will help you to choose a correct maintenance level
for the sub-assembly.
Note: This activity can be performed after the creation of the interim
order structure by release of the work scope and after the creation of the supply
shop orders by the release of the interim order structure.
Prerequisites
- Disassembly, disposition, assembly structures and routings must be defined
for the position parts corresponding to the part for which you want to perform
this activity.
- Maintenance level structure and routings must be defined for all maintenance
levels of the sub-assemblies and/or piece parts considered for the calculation.
- Customer maintenance baselines and modifications should be defined in
IFS/Fleet and Asset Management.
System Effects
- A revision of the position part will be selected and used for work scope
definition.
- The off log for the work order is created based on the serial structure
in IFS/Fleet and Asset Management.
- Work scope maintenance records for the part and all sub-assemblies
are
created. These work scope maintenance records are for the current manufacturing
revision.
- Maintenance levels for these work scope maintenance records is set based
on the maintenance level baseline for the overhaul part.
- Disposition maintenance levels for the piece parts are set with the
following priority.
1. Disposition type
maintenance levels defined for the piece parts on the maintenance level
baseline.
2. Set maintenance level for the
immediate parent sub assembly. if the
Site/Manufacturing/MRO/Copy Parent Mx Level to Piece Parts
is selected.
- Maintenance levels for the part and all sub-assemblies which expose
affected parts are flagged by the system.
