This activity is used to connect a work order to an existing project activity. Once connected, project activity connection is inherited to shop orders created through release of MRO Interim Order Structure. Planned and reported cost, revenues, hours and progress of shoporders will be reported to the activity through the cost elements.
Connection to project activity can be done from Complex Assembly Work Order page or Shop Visit / Current WO's tab
The project activity must be in status Released.
The MRO Interim Order Structure must not be in status Released, Partially Released or Closed.
Material movement of MRO shop orders are always handled in standard inventory even if the shop orders are connected to projects.Transactions connected to materials are posted to connected project activity even though the material movements (receive/isse) are always done in standard inventory.
