The disposition line is used to identify information concerning inspection, disposition, modification and repair for one or more parts to be dispositioned. When you create the disposition line you specify the disposition code and quantity for a specific part number. For example, disposition codes are used to indicate whether the parts are in good condition or need repair, or whether they should be reused or scrapped. Since the condition code at disposition will most probably deviate from the condition code requested at assembly there are two fields providing the option to differentiate the condition code for the different point of times in the complex assembly repair process;
The following information can be specified for a disposition depending on the selected disposition code; Receipt Location, Condition Code, Required Condition Code, Supplier, External Service Type and Scrap Reason.
This activity requires the existence of a disposition shop order.
As a result of this activity there will be a new disposition line on the disposition shop order on which additional information can be recorded.
If a service type is entered, then it is inherited by the repair shop order created to perform the service, i.e. the material and operations lines are connected to the same service type. Note: This field is enabled only if the disposition shop order is originated from a CRO line.
