Record Discrepancies on Disposition Line
Explanation
Discrepancy codes are used to define the list of repair codes which in
turn can determine the materials and operations for the repair order. It is
optional to enter discrepancies to retrieve a selection of repair codes. If
no discrepancies are defined, then entering repair codes manually is the way
forward.
Prerequisites
- This activity requires the existence of a disposition line on a
disposition shop order in status Part Identified or
Released . It also requires the
existence of discrepancy codes defined for the part being dispositioned.
- Discrepancies can only be used if a disposition code, with the
Report Discrepancy option set, has been associated with
the disposition line.
System Effects
- As a result of this activity the specific discrepancies will be
identified.
- The discrepancies will be used to select the appropriate repair
codes.
- If the discrepancy code has a cross reference to a Fleet and
Asset Management fault
code, a connection has been created that will create a fault history
record for the serial when the disposition line is approved.
