This dialog is used to move a serial object from one site to another site or to a different equipment structure in the same site. It can be accessed from Serial Object, Serial Objects, Equipment Object Navigator Serial Object tab and Explore Equipment Objects Serial Object tab.
Serial object is moved to a new site if the values are given for the Company and Site in the Move Serial Object dialog. Serial object will carry its refernced details to the new site such as measurements, testpoint/parameters, spare parts, technical details, attachments, scheduling details and object warranty. Cost/Year details are removed once the serial object is moved to a new site.
User has an option to create new revisions for the existing PM actions in the moving Serial Object/Objects. The values added in WO site and Maint Org will determine work order site and maintenance organization of the new PM revisions created once the serial object is moved to the new site. PM actions that has Revision Control Off will be obsoleted and new revisions will not be created. Additionally any PM structure connections in the PM actions are not handled when creating new revisions. When creating the new PM revisions, information from General, Jobs and Templates, Maintenance Triggers and Maintenance Plan are copied to the new revisions.
Note - Only work task templates that has both New Site and existing site as valid for sites are copied the new revisions of the PM actions. Any manually added work lists or work lists coming from a template without the new site as a valid for site are not added to the new revision.
User has the option to specify the equipment structure that the serial object moved when moving the serial object to a new site. This done by using the Change Belongs to object option in the dialog. If the serial object has to be moved to a equipment structure without changing the site, it can be carried out by using the Change Belongs to object without specifying a New Site.
User has the option to register the current measurement by the time of the move using Register Measurements option, if the serial object has test points/parameters defined for measurement registration. Additionally, it is possible to define, modify or remove the Update from Object of the parameters if those should change after the serial object is moved. Once the measurements are entered or Update from Object value is modified, the Apply command needs to be selected in order to register and save them. It should be noted that the measurements of moving child objects have to be done separately.
