Create Category Object

Explanation

Use this activity to register a new category object. Once registered more information can be entered using the Functional Object window. Category objects can be used to define a set of common objects e.g., computers, printers. This makes it easier to administrate large amounts of equipment on a service contract

Prerequisites

• Object levels should be defined in IFS/Basic Data for Maintenance, Equipment Basic Data.
• Objects should be defined in IFS/Equipment Administration if the category object is to be connected to an object structure.

System Effects

As a result of this activity a new category object will be registered in the system.
