Meter Total Reset

Explanation

Use this activity to perform a total reset of the meter. This is an irreversible action which is applicable for Accumulated type parameters. This activity can be performed in Testpoints/Parameters tab of Functional Object, Serial object pages and Measurements for Object, Measurements for Objects pages using the Meter Total Reset command. A dialogue box displays the details of the equipment object/parameter for which the reset is performed and the Reset Date can be entered. If Reset Child Objects option is selected, all child objects with same Test Point/Parameter that inherit measurement values from the particular object also get their meters reset. If there is a Meter ID setup for the Test Point/Parameter, it is removed after the Meter Total Reset. Therefore, it is recommended to setup a new Meter ID after the Meter Total Reset.

Note: It is not possible to do a meter total reset if the particular Test Point/Parameter is connected to either Metering Invoicing or Recurring Services.

Prerequisites

A test point and a parameter must have been connected to the object on the Functional Object/ Serial Object/ Service Object page in IFS/Equipment.
The parameter must be Value Type Accumulated.

System Effects

Both Recorded Value and Total Value for the Test Point/Parameter restart from zero.
Maintenance plans of PM Actions which has this Test Point/Parameter get reset.
Already generated work orders have no effect and can be continued. However, the maintenance plan does not change when their last work task/work order is finished even if the PM is Performed Value Based.
It is not possible to generate a new work order even with a new maintenance plan after the Meter Total Reset until the already generated work orders are completed if the PM is Performed Value Based.
If there are non-managed preliminary readings, those are removed.
