Transfer Product
Explanation
To transfer the product structures and routings created for an estimate
item to manufacturing, click Transfer Product, then click
Prepare Products for Transfer.
The Prepare Estimate Products for Transfer
assistant lets you specify the transfer settings and structure/routings
settings for transfer of an item.
On the Prepare and Transfer Estimate Products
page, in the Part Transfer List section, you select parts
to be transferred and edit the details before transferring. You can create a
new part from an existing part by changing the part number.
To finalize the transfer of parts ready for transfer, click
Transfer .
Prerequisites
- Estimate revision must be in Confirmed status.
- For the same estimate revision transfer can not have been performed
previously.
- All the error logs related to transfer must have been resolved.
System Effects
- Error logs are created for conflicts that occur during transfer.
- Information logs are generated when the transfer is successfully
executed.
- Only the modified structures/routings are transferred for existing
parts.
- For existing parts new structure/routing revisions are created in
manufacturing with the given phased in date.
- For new parts master part, inventory part and structure/routing
records are created.
