Cancel Work Assignment

Explanation

This activity is used to cancel a work assignment. This is done when you are not able to finish the work, for instance, due to the lack of equipment or approval documentation.

Prerequisites

• The work assignment should exist on the mobile device.
• The work assignment should be assigned, accepted, on route or started.
• A reason code must be defined in basic data, to use when cancelling the work assignment.

System Effects

• The work assignment is removed from the list of work assignments assigned to you on the mobile device.
• The work assignment is returned to IFS/Work Order Management during the next synchronization, where it can be analyzed and executed.
• If a maintenance survey is setup to appear when cancelling a work assignment, the survey will be opened.
