Add Skill Requirement
Explanation
You can add a skill requirement to a task or fault.
The added skill indicates the skill required for the task and the number
of hours required to complete the work.
You can also modify the number of hours required for the skill and remove
a skill, provided that the task has not been completed or fault has not been
closed.
Once skills have been added you can assign one or more skills to yourself
and unassign, if required. You are also able to perform and record work on
the task or fault when you don't possess the skills or skills have not been
assigned.
Prerequisites
- The status of the task is Active or In Work.
- The status of the fault is Open or Deferred.
- The skill must be defined as a competency for the AV_MAINTENANCE
Competency Group on the Competencies Structure page in
Human Capital Management/HCM Services/Jobs and Qualifications/Qualifications.
System Effects
- The skill requirement is added to the task or fault and can be
viewed from the
Task
Skills page or the Fault Skills
page respectively. If the skill is added to a task which is a packaged
fault, it can be viewed from both the Task Skills
and Fault Skills pages.
- If you assigned a skill on the task to yourself, the task will be
displayed on your My Work page.
