Maintenance supervisors can assign skills to technicians considering the required skills to complete the task, and availability.
Maintenance supervisors can use the Task Work Assignments page to assign skills and this page shows all the incomplete tasks in an active work package. They can assign technicians to tasks by assigning technicians to skills using a List or a Gantt Chart. This page displays the skill requirements added to the Task Details page and you can add or remove skills if needed. As the supervisor assigns technicians to skills, a task may have multiple assignees.
Tasks are categorized into the following states:
Note: You would never be assigning a turn to a technician if some of the tasks have been already assigned and you would never be assigning tasks within a turn if the turn has been already assigned. You are either assigning work at the task levels or you are assigning it at the turn level.
Note: If the HCM module is used, then the HR schedule of the person's primary scheduling employment is taken to get the availability. If there is no HR Schedule, then the Work Time Calendar directly connected to the person is taken to get the availability. To assign work to technicians users should have access to the site.
As a result of this activity, a skill is assigned to a technician. If the technician has been assigned to one or more skills, the technician is able to view the particular tasks on the My Work page.
