The Demand Status is used in Resource Management to reflect the status of the origin source to which the resource has been demanded. The resources demand statuses can be viewed and analyzed in Resource Analysis.
The demand status reflects the status of the object to which it was planned, hence for example, a resource planned on a work task with demand status Committed reflects that the work task status is either Prepared, Released or Work Started.
There are four different statuses:
Note that the Manufacturing solution is not fully integrated with Resource Management. Resource demands coming from manufacturing will always have demand status Committed, independently of its origin status.
The following mappings are used to map the Origin Status from the different sources to the Demand Status field:
