Perform this activity to create a new service person resource. Using the assistant, it is possible to create a new service resource from an existing person, or if no person exists, the assistant will create a new person along with the resource. In both scenarios an employee will be created an connected to the person. If no Resource ID is entered, the system will generate an ID.
The service person resource must be connected to a service resource group and the connections to company and site from the resource group are defaulted as connections to the service person. In the assistant it is also possible to enter a Scheduling Type which can be used for PSO scheduling tool.
In the Resource Schedule Information step, it is required to define a base schedule that can either be a Work Time Calendar or a HR Schedule. In addition to the base schedule, it is possible to define multiple Shift Pattern Templates and to indicate if Use Shift Pattern Template indicator should be turned on. The Utilization field is defaulted to 100% but can be updated.
In the Mobile User Information step, it is possible to define if the resource should be a mobile user and related settings to mobile.
The system effects depends on the various settings that are possible to make in the assistant.
