This activity is used to add an operation to an observation. The operation is what defines what is done with the observation once it has been received and registered in the system. Depending on the setup of the observation, the operations are either automatically executed or needs to be manually executed.
During the execution of an operation, the parameters in the Operation Model will use the values from the observation by the mapping done here between the operation model parameters and the observation attributes.
To add an operation:
1. Navigate to Observation
Flow page and select a record.
2. Select the tab
Operations Items and click Add Operation.
3. Choose an operation model Id by entering the identity or choosing from
the list of values.
4. Enter an operation description of
your choice, describing what the Operation Model does
with the observation data.
5. Save the record.
6. To add default fields to the Operation model select
created Operation, click Configure select parameters and click
Add Default Fields.
8. Save the changes.
Note! If the values for the device keys are left blank, the operation model will retrieve the values from the device mapping done in the IoT Controller.
Operation models need to exist.
