This activity is used to create elements that holds general information connected to a linear asset, such as a river crossing for a road, a tree or a kilometer marker. An element has a start and end position. A single point, for example a speed limit sign, is registered with the start and end at the same position. An element can have parent/child relations. The element can also be used as the placeholder for any design or equipment object that is to be connected to the linear asset. It is possible to have more than one object connected to an element.

A linear asset to which the element will be connected to should exist.
An element on a linear asset will be created.
