Create New Revision of Maintenance Program
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new revision of a maintenance program.
You can create a new revision of a maintenance program that is in any of the
valid statuses (Preliminary, Active or Obsolete).
When creating a new revision, you can choose to copy information from the
previous maintenance program revision. Following copy options exist in the
New Revision of Maintenance Program assistant which
can be opened from the pages listed under the Pages section:
- Access groups - Copy all access groups from the selected revision.
- Parts - Copy all parts from the selected revision.
- Part revisions - Copy all part revisions from the selected revision.
Part revisions are dependent on parts, therefore the Parts
option must be enabled to copy part revisions.
- Maintenance groups - Copy all maintenance groups from the selected revision.
- Intervals - Copy all maintenance intervals from the selected revision.
- Convenience tasks - Copy all convenience tasks from the selected revision.
- Documents - Copy documents attached to the selected revision.
Note: Only one revision of a maintenance program can be
active at any given point in time. When you choose to set a new revision of
the maintenance program active, the previous revision will automatically be
made obsolete.
