Create New Revision of Post Maintenance Check Definition
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new revision of a post maintenance check
(PMC) definition. You can create a new revision of a PMC definition that is
in any of the valid statuses (i.e., Preliminary, Active or
Obsolete).
Note: There can be several revisions defined for a PMC definition,
but only one revision can be active at a point in time. When activating the
new revision a message will appear informing you that this will make the previous
revision obsolete and you will have the option of canceling the action.
To create a new revision, click New Revision of Post Maintenance
Definition. In the assistant, you can choose to copy following information
to the new revision:
- Intervals for Parts - Copies assigned parts and the post maintenance
intervals defined for the parts.
- Part Revisions - Copies part revisions assigned to the PMC definition.
To copy part revisions, the intervals for part information is required to
be copied as well.
- Task Cards - Copies task cards connected to the PMC definition.
To copy task cards, the intervals for part and assigned part information
are required to be copied as well.
- Sign Off Requirements - Copies sign off requirements defined
for the PMC definition. To copy sign off requirements, the intervals for
part and assigned part information are required to be copied as well.
- Documents - Copies documents connected to the PMC definition.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, a PMC definition must exist.
System Effects
- A new revision of the PMC definition is created. The new revision is
set to the Preliminary status.
- An entry is created in the PMC definition journal.
