Define Execution Phase

Explanation

This activity is used to define execution phases. Execution phases are used to sort and sequence the work to be performed.

If a value is entered in the Execution Logic Sorting field, the execution phases will be sorted in the given order. When an execution phase is included on an execution logic structure (ELS) template, the correspoding sorting will be included on the template. If a sorting is not defined, the execution phases on the ELS template will be sorted automatically.

System Effects

• Execution phases are defined and can be entered on task cards and subtasks in IFS/Fleet and Asset Management.
• If the Include in Execution Logic Planning option is enabled, the execution phase will be used when generating ELS templates where execution phase is selected as a grouping criteria. If execution logic sorting is defined for the execution phase, this will be added to the ELS template.
