Define Material for a Task Card or Subtask
Explanation
This activity is used to register material requirements for a task card or
subtask. Material can be components for replacement and/or dispensable parts
such as nuts and bolts. There can be material that will not be used every time
a task card or subtask is performed. For such material, you can specify how
likely it is that the part will be used by entering a probability percentage
on the relevant material line.
You can define material for the task card or subtask by entering a valid
part revision or by entering the required manufacturer's part number (the part
revision will be retrieved automatically).
Prerequisites
- A task card or subtask must be defined.
- The part revisions that are to be included in the material list must
be defined as engineering part revisions. Vehicle parts are not allowed.
- If the material is to be supplied by a particular manufacturer and/or
be a specific part number from the manufacturer, this manufacturer and the
corresponding manufacturer's part number must be entered for each part in
the material list.
System Effects
- Material requirements are defined for a task card or subtask.
- When the maintenance event to which the task card or subtask is connected
is transferred, a work task is created per task card and subtask and the
material demand is copied to the work task.
