This activity is used to set an active maintenance program obsolete. To do this, click the Set Obsolete status option from either the Define Maintenance Program page or the Maintenance Programs page.
A maintenance program that becomes invalid can be set to obsolete. When a maintenance program is obsolete it cannot be connected to a serial. If a maintenance program has active serials connected to it when it becomes obsolete, an error message will appear. You need to create a new maintenance program for the active serials before the currently active maintenance program can be set to obsolete.
When the maintenance program is set to the Obsolete status, it cannot be deleted. The obsolete programs will be kept for historical tracking.
