Issue material assistant provides quick and easy way to issue material from inventory. In this process it is assumed that you have already picked the part from an inventory location and you needs to register the issue of part in the system. It is only possible to issue parts from user’s default site.
You should enter the part number and the inventory location from
where the part had been piked so that all the available quantity in the specific
location will be visible to you in order to select the specific
serials/lots or quantity to be issued based on inventory attributes.
In this process you can issue only one part number at a time. The issue of parts can only be done from standard inventory and you can only issue parts from picking locations.
It is possible to connect the process to a project activity as an
optional step. This will provide the facility to cost report the issue
transaction to the project.
It is also possible add pre-posting to the issue transaction as an
optional step as well. Upon finalizing, a material requisition will be created
and parts will be issued to the material requisition line.
